Exuberance

This is a really bright, cheerful Kaffe Fassett quilt I made this week. Bekah orange is the main floral. I absolutely love it. I wanted to keep the fabric cuts large so the floral could be seen clearly. (It looks better in reality than in this picture. Click on it to see the enlargement.) I had originally auditioned some black with white dots on it for the sashing but it was far too dark. Guinea Flower worked better, even though that was what Kaffe used in his original, and I always like to vary my quilts from the original inspiration. The original is in his book "Quilt Romance".

  1. This one turned out beautiful--but that's to be expected. . .

  2. Those are gorgeous fabrics! I would have had a hard time cutting into it, I think!
